Job Description
The company is mainly engaged in the design, development and production of knitted and woven garments such as activewear, yoga wear, swimwear and cycling etc.

Report to
Directly to the CEO in China and also report to the Group CEO/President in Australia. A team of merchandisers will support the Sales Manager.
Job Summary
The Sales Manager in China will work hand in hand with the global sales team to drive company sales strategies while simultaneously leading their region in more targeted sales goals. They will understand the sales process and excel at generating leads, building relationships, and closing deals.
They will be quick learners who can work cross-functionally to collect the resources and knowledge necessary to thoughtfully pitch to our clients. The ideal candidate will be willing to travel and have the ability to showcase our offerings compellingly. Often tasked with giving presentations and attending networking events and trade shows, the Sales Manager must be personable and professional.
Responsibilities
Identify and pursue new business opportunities by researching target companies and reaching out to contacts via cold outreach and references, setting appointments, making effective qualifying sales calls and managing the sales cycle to close new business.
Leverage industry insights to maximize sales potential by maintaining relationships.
Recap and report on potential opportunities.
Maintain company CRM.
Analyze market data and customer feedback to formulate tailored sales strategies.
Develop and execute creative business development strategies to achieve revenue and new acquisition targets.
Drive growth and maintain working relationships with existing clients to ensure that they receive exceptional service and to identify growth opportunities.
Prepare thoughtful pitches for new clients, working cross-functionally with design and fabric development to collect the needed resources.
Work hand in hand with the global sales team to execute, plan and attend yearly trade shows.
Work with production and leadership team to set up costing profiles for potential new clients and work to create quotes to maximize profits and meet any customer needs.
Set and maintain accurate forecast goals and plans.
Manage direct reports as the team continues to grow.
Monitor sales figures diligently, proactively identifying declining trends or potential risks in customer accounts.
Manage day-to-day sales operations, including nurturing prospects/existing accounts through continued education and support and identifying growth opportunities.
Provide comprehensive support and valuable information to the executive leadership team, offering strategic insights, data-driven suggestions, and recommendations regarding the overall strategic approach for the market in China.
Requirements
Bachelors Degree.
5+ years working as a leader in sales with a sourcing office or manufacturer.
3+ years in Activewear, performance garments or swimwear.
A deep contact base and good relationships with potential customers in the premium athleisure brands within China.
Strong industry network.
Must be proficient in Excel and PowerPoint (Illustrator is a plus)

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop solid and lasting relationships.
Excellent communication and presentation skills comfortable presenting to a room of executives.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Must have a can-do attitude and strong work ethic.
Organization and time management skills able to juggle multiple projects.
Willingness to undertake frequent domestic and international travel.
