Job Summary

The client seeks an experienced Head of Production to oversee end-to-end garment manufacturing operations, ensuring the efficient, safe, and cost-effective manufacturing of products while meeting quality standards and delivery timelines. This role requires a strategic leader with strong technical expertise, a focus on quality, and the ability to optimize processes to meet production targets. The ideal candidate will ensure seamless coordination between departments, uphold compliance standards, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

Ÿ   Product Development

Ÿ   Production Management & Strategy Leadership

Ÿ   Oversee daily operations across cutting to finishing.

Ÿ   Develop and execute production schedules to meet deadlines while maintaining cost efficiency.

Ÿ   Develop and implement production strategies to meet business goals, including capacity planning, resource allocation, and scalability.

Ÿ   Maintain high-quality standards for all products, continuously focusing on providing outstanding customer service.

Ÿ   Monitor KPIs and implement corrective actions to address deviations.

Ÿ   Monitor workflow, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions.

Ÿ   Process Improvement & Risk Management

Ÿ   Recommend new procedures and processes to improve quality and efficiency and reduce production costs.

Ÿ   Drive operational excellence through Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Ÿ   Carry out new projects’ implementation, maintenance, and improvement in assigned areas.

Ÿ   Drive Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other efficiency-enhancing methodologies.

Ÿ   Implement technology solutions (e.g., ERP systems) to streamline operations.

Ÿ   Manage budgets, reduce waste, and optimize resource utilization (materials, labor, machinery).

Ÿ   Quality Assurance

Ÿ   Ensure adherence to quality standards (AQL levels) and client specifications.

Ÿ   Collaborate with QA/QC teams to resolve defects and implement preventive measures.

Ÿ   Team Leadership

Ÿ   Lead, mentor, and motivate a large team of production supervisors, line leaders, and workers.

Ÿ   Conduct performance evaluations and organize training programs to enhance skills.

Ÿ   Compliance & Safety

Ÿ   Ensure compliance with labor laws, health/safety regulations, and ethical practices.

Ÿ   Promote a zero-accident culture through regular audits and safety protocols.

Ÿ   Key KPIs

Ÿ   On-time delivery - Ensure 100% delivery performance to customer requirements.

Ÿ   Cost - Control costs of material, direct/indirect labour and equipment in accordance with the budget.

Ÿ   Quality - Maintain high-quality standards for all products

Requirements

Ÿ   Bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering, Apparel Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related field

Ÿ   Minimum 10+ years in the garment manufacturing industry, with 5+ years in a production leadership role.

Ÿ   In-depth knowledge of production planning, production workflows and garment construction.

Ÿ   Knowledge of LEAN manufacturing and GSD/SMV.

Ÿ   Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Ÿ   Fluent in English (written and spoken) and Mandarin.

Ÿ   Certifications such as Six Sigma are highly desirable.
