Job Summary
Creating a strategy and development plan for the unit, defining the organizational structure, and building the team.
Ensuring the enterprise's profit in accordance with the Strategy.
Responsibilities
Strategic Planning: Developing strategies for the development and growth of the logistics business in accordance with company objectives and market requirements.
Acquiring new customers, winning contracts, expanding service geography, and increasing transportation volumes.
Project management of existing and new products: Market analysis, customer acquisition, partner search, operational process development, planning and execution control. Finding new opportunities: Initiating new product launches, exploring opportunities and business directions in the PRC.
Customer Relations: Establishing and maintaining long-term relationships with the company's customers and partners, ensuring a high level of service and satisfaction of customer needs, and retaining key customers.
Acting as a senior point of contact between the customer, key suppliers, management, transportation team and dispatch team, especially for top tier customers.
Operations Management: Organization and control of all logistics operations, including customer relations, carrier search, contracting, cargo delivery control, PRC customs procedures.
Financial Management: Managing the company's financial resources, including budgeting, financial analysis, cost management and financial sustainability.
Providing regular reports on the company's activities to the holding company's management, effective interaction and communication with the company's head office.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all applicable logistics and transportation regulations, rules and standards, including customs and transportation regulations within the PRC region.
Innovation and Optimization: Implementing new technologies, methods and processes to optimize operations and improve the efficiency of logistics processes.
Risk Management: Analyzing and managing risks associated with the company's activities, developing strategies to mitigate and prevent them, and ensuring the stability and reliability of operations.
Manpower Management: Build and develop a team of professionals, ensuring their motivation, training and development.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree or above in logistics, operations management, economics or business administration.
15 years of work experience with recent 5 years of supply chain related business development and client management experience in an international trade or transportation environment in China preferred.
Project management experience is required.
Experience in business start-up and operations management preferred.
Strong negotiation skills with suppliers, carriers and other stakeholders in the logistics process.
Knowledge of major logistics systems such as WMS, TMS, and inventory management systems.
Excellent communication skills in Chinese and English
