Job Summary

As Head of Automation, you'll be responsible for leading and managing all automation-related activities, ensuring smooth production, optimizing processes, and driving innovation in automation technologies to improve efficiency and quality. This includes advising, prioritizing, planning, implementing, maintenance, and continuous improvement of automation systems across the brewery.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Planning and Implementation:

• Develop and implement automation strategies aligned with the company's overall goals and objectives.

• Identify opportunities for automation to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.

• Lead the planning, design, and implementation of new automation projects.

• Manage the automation budget and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

• Team Leadership and Management:

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of automation engineers, technicians, and other relevant personnel.

• Set performance goals, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance evaluations.

• Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team.

• System Maintenance and Reliability:

• Oversee the maintenance and repair of all automation equipment and systems.

• Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to ensure equipment reliability and uptime.

• Manage the spare parts inventory and ensure that necessary components are readily available.

• Process Optimization and Improvement:

• Continuously evaluate and optimize automation processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

• Identify and implement new technologies and best practices in automation.

• Collaborate with other departments (e.g., engineering, production, quality control) to identify and address automation-related issues.

• Safety and Compliance:

• Ensure that all automation systems and processes comply with relevant safety regulations and industry standards.

• Develop and implement safety procedures for working with automation equipment.

• Conduct regular safety inspections and audits.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in engineering (e.g., Electrical, Mechanical, Automation) or a related field.

• Extensive experience in automation systems, process control, and industrial engineering.

• Technical Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of PLC programming, SCADA systems, robotics, and other automation technologies.

  • Leadership Skills:

  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team of technical professionals.

  • Problem-Solving Skills:

  • Ability to identify, analyze, and solve complex technical problems.

  • Communication Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.

• Experience in managing automation projects from conception to completion.

• Familiarity with the beer brewing industry and its automation requirements.

• English, verbal & written; overseas candidate would later require learning Bahasa Indonesia.

salary is open at Market rate plus premium for relocation
